Park in the Art Competition

Park in the Art is a design competition organized by BikeBurlington to create a functional work of art that will serve as a bike rack accommodating six to eight bicycles. We currently have two racks in downtown Burlington. We look forward to more racks in more locations to make it easier and more fun to bike in Burlington.

In 2015, Tom Wynn won our first contest. He is pictured with Madonna Carr, BikeBurlington’s president. Our sponsors were The Coffee House at Chestnut and Pine, Burlington Area Arts Council and May’s Insurance. Tom’s bike rack is on the corner of Chestnut and Pine in downtown Burlington.

D.A. Rinedollar was the winner of our 2016 Park in the Art contest. Thanks to our sponsor North Shore Bank for their creative ideas, enthusiasm and support for this project. This bike rack is located in downtown Burlington at Wehmhoff Square Park next to the library.
